THE ULTIMATE SONG
There's a story often told
Of a school made of Red and Gold
Memories ring clear & shining
Bright in our minds as
Tino rules as the Ultimate School
And it's legend still lives on
In the spirit of this song
Let's take a look on back
How our lives used to be when
Tino ruled as The Ultimate School

BRIDGE

You may find it at the football Jamboree
You can't hide it when the Spirit Bell won liberty
Glory days of Rambis basketball
When Papa doo Run Run sang it all
(The Rose Bowl big parade our marching band stood tall)

Through the haloed halls we'd roam
When our locker was our home
LIfe seems so empty without memories found cause
Tino ruled as the Ultimate School (3 times)

Forever let it carry on, everybody sing along
Hail to Cupertino we pledge our best to thee
Red and Gold forever bold
We're all Pioneers

Arranged recorded & produced by PAPA DOO RUN RUN

LONG LIVE PAPA DOO RUN RUN

I've always been a great admirer of PAPA so when I first conceived this web site I hoped their great sound and energy could be a part of it. I adapted an original song written by Chris Trevison for the BEACH BUMS alias STEAMERS entitled, "The Ultimate Wave". I hoped they might do this for tinalumni.org. Knowing that only two of the original members are currently performing with PAPA I felt my chances were, at best, very slim of getting them all back together again to do the recording. After getting in touch with them to my great surprise and delight they volunteered their services.

As I continued working on the web site I forgot about their promise. I, at one point, got very discouraged. Things just weren't falling into place and I thought of abandoning any hope of CHSAAA becoming a reality. At this fateful juncture I received a Federal Express package from PAPA member Jim Armstrong. It was "The Ultimate School" CD. As I played it, and played it and played it my CHSAAA batteries were completely recharged. Their beautiful rendition was all I had hoped it would be and more. It gave me faith that CHSAAA would also be all I hoped for. I'll never be able to thank PAPA enough for the faith they provided me at this critical juncture. PAPA has since also produced   the TINO adaptation of their classic Gold Record "Be True to Your School" which is part of their bio in the Cupertino Cavalcade.

PAPA  not only pledged their best to CHSAAA but fulfilled their pledge and so much more. By becoming a member of CHSAAA you too will fulfill a much needed pledge to your alma mater. I know, like PAPA, many of you will want to get more deeply involved than that. If that's the case then contact us right now. I sincerely feel that Cupertino High School alumni will answer this call as no other school alumni would or could. We at CHSAAA welcome you with open arms and pledge you will reap much joy and satisfaction from your generous contributions to our cause.
